Sensory Exploration in Nature

Immerse your entire family in the wonders of the great outdoors with our “Sensory Exploration in Nature” program designed to accommodate youth with sensory challenges. This outdoor adventure will combine the benefits of nature with fun and engaging activities to create a memorable and enriching experience. We will offer crafts, fishing, and outdoor play to engage the whole family. Our Camp Millican directors will contact attendees in advance to discuss necessary accommodation options. Come enjoy a safe space to try new outdoor activities and games! 

All equipment for this program will be provided. We will have an indoor space for wheelchairs and indoor exploration an activities.  Please note that hiking trails are not accessible for most mobile-assisted devices.  

All activities will require caregivers to participate with their youth. Our staff will create opportunities for group games and activities. This is not a program to drop off participants and return at a later time.  

We will facilitate outdoor recreation for all families and youth and will be specifically tailoring activities to youth with sensory challenges.  

Pricing is $10 per family (up to 4 participants per family group).

This program is hosted by our Camp Millican staff, so registration will occur on our Camp registration software. Upon clicking “Add to Cart”, you will be redirected to a new site. Parking  

Please use the Farm Entrance to Millican Reserve (19851 FM 2154). Follow the road down to the Boathouse. A Conservancy Program Leader will be there to greet you.
